Beam publishes quarterly treasury reports and regular development updates; the Q2 2026 report is dated 13 August 2026. The network code is open source and the Horizon upgrade moved it to proof of stake. At the same time Beam now describes itself as an innovation lab that is unattached to specific chains, which is a change from its original focus on a gaming network.

The Beam Foundation treasury was valued at $148,570,485 on 30 June 2026, excluding BEAM: 69.5% venture investments, 20.7% cash and 9.8% liquid crypto. One position, Dreamcash equity, is 32.98% of it, and several venture positions were written down to zero in the quarter. CoinMarketCap shows the top 10 addresses holding 59.1% of BEAM.

About 51.30 billion BEAM circulated on 2 October 2026 out of about 58.47 billion. Beam says about 38% of the supply has been burned after token repurchases, and the documentation says nobody can arbitrarily mint more. The emissions schedule, however, is described as changed and still to be published.

Beam Network is a live proof-of-stake chain where validators stake a Node Token and at least 20,000 BEAM. The website says BEAM powers millions of transactions and has 250K holders, while CoinMarketCap counts 48,201 holder addresses. Data on current daily activity, fees and the number of validators is insufficient in the facts collected.
