Velo

Velo is a payments and settlement network for Asia built by Velo Labs; VELO is its utility token on Stellar and BNB Smart Chain.

Velo is a payments and settlement project run by Velo Labs. It aims to link banks, businesses and users in emerging markets, mainly in Southeast Asia, so that value can move across borders quickly. It began in 2020 on Stellar as a network for issuing collateral-backed digital credits. It is not related to Velodrome Finance, an exchange whose token has the same ticker.

Its products include Orbit Plus, a consumer app for turning crypto into local currency with a debit card, live in 15 countries; Universe, a hybrid exchange with perpetual trading; Nova Chain, its own EVM-compatible chain; the Warp bridge; and the USDV stablecoin, whose backing, according to 2024 announcements, includes tokenized US Treasury products.

VELO is the utility token, used for settlement, staking and governance. The total supply is 24 billion, and about 73% circulates. Partners named on the website include Stellar, Visa, UOB and CP Group. On 1 October 2026 VELO traded more than 99% below its March 2021 high.
