SUN.io keeps shipping: SunSwap V4 launched on 2 March 2026 with native TRX support and hooks for custom strategies, alongside SunCurve, a PSM stablecoin swap, the SunPump launch platform and a developer router. The team behind SUN.io is not named in the docs checked, and the project is part of the TRON ecosystem founded by Justin Sun. Data on independent contributors, funding of development and contract audits beyond a 2020 audit of V1 is insufficient.

No venture funding, exchange-traded product or regulated fund holding SUN was found. Tronscan showed 82,909 holder addresses on 1 October 2026; the share held by the largest addresses, the team or a treasury was not found, and no initial allocation is published in the docs. SUN is not on the National Bank of Kazakhstan's April 2026 list of authorised digital assets. The SEC case against Justin Sun and his companies over TRX and BTT, which did not name SUN, moved to a proposed settlement in March 2026.

The contract supply is 19,900,730,000 SUN, and about 19.22 billion were circulating on 1 October 2026. Since March 2022 a share of SunSwap fees, all SunPump revenue and half of SunX net revenue fund SUN repurchases for quarterly burns; the 51st round on 25 July 2026 brought the total burned to 678,547,188.32 SUN. Locking SUN as veSUN for 26 weeks to 4 years earns 50% of weekly stablecoin pool fees and up to a 2.5x mining boost, which takes supply out of trading.

DefiLlama counted about $1.30 billion of volume across SUN.io products in the 30 days to 1 October 2026, and about $540 million locked in SunSwap V1 to V3. Fees are meaningful but modest: about $9.36 million on SunSwap V3 and $3.94 million on SunSwap V2 over the past year. SunPump revenue fell to about $424,610 over the year. Activity depends on the TRON network alone.
