About Raydium

RAY is the token of Raydium, a Solana exchange that uses part of its trading fees to buy back RAY.

Raydium is an automated market maker on Solana: users swap tokens against liquidity pools, and liquidity providers earn most of the trading fees. Raydium also runs LaunchLab, a launchpad where new tokens trade on a bonding curve before moving to a Raydium pool, and Raydium Perps, a separate perpetual futures venue with leverage of up to 100x powered by Orderly Network.

RAY is the native token. 12% of trading fees from Raydium pools are used to buy back RAY, which the protocol holds at a public address. Holders can stake RAY in the app for RAY rewards paid from the mining reserve. RAY is not needed to trade on Raydium.

Supply is capped at 555 million RAY and the mint authority is disabled. Team and seed tokens finished vesting in February 2024, and about 1.9 million RAY a year is still released from the mining reserve.
