About EURC
EURC is Circle's euro stablecoin, issued under the EU's MiCA rules and redeemable 1:1 for euro.
EURC is a stablecoin worth one euro, issued by Circle, the company behind USDC. In the EU it is issued by Circle Internet Financial Europe SAS, a French electronic money institution, as an e-money token under MiCA, which means it may not pay holders interest.
Circle says every EURC is backed by euro reserves held at regulated financial institutions in the European Economic Area, and a Big Four accounting firm checks every month that reserves exceed the tokens in circulation. Circle reported €404.3 million in circulation on 24 September 2026.
EURC runs on Ethereum, Solana, Base, Avalanche, Stellar and several other networks, and is used for euro payments, settlement and trading.
