Mysten Labs, the original contributor to Sui, built DeepBook, which has been live since 2023 and is documented in the official Sui docs. The DeepBook Trading Foundation launched the DeepBook App with Spot and Predict on 24 September 2026, after adding margin primitives earlier in the year.

DEEP trades on Upbit, Bybit and Gate. Data on institutional holders, the token allocation and concentration of large addresses is insufficient in the facts collected; an external audit page mentions insider and investor tranches vesting to 2031.

Supply is capped at 10 billion DEEP. Fees are paid in DEEP and the part not returned to makers as rebates is burned: 125.7 million DEEP by the start of October 2026. Circulating supply is unclear: CoinMarketCap showed 5.88 billion and CoinGecko 2.5 billion on 2 October 2026, so future unlocks cannot be sized from the facts collected.

The DeepBook site showed $41.2 million of 24-hour volume and more than $20 billion of cumulative volume at the start of October 2026, with more than 15 apps routing through the book and over 150,000 traders on the app waitlist before launch.
